Accessing the InClass Educational Portal
We have a communication system available to PAUSD secondary teachers and students. It is an online tool called InClass. The system is a one-stop education portal for accessing information about your child's classes.
InClass can extend the boundaries of the traditional classroom to help learning to take place anytime and anywhere. With InClass, you and your child can access information relevant to your child’s school day through a browser and the Internet - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. InClass will be used to supplement face-to-face instruction, to post homework and assignments, and to foster home-school communication.
In an effort to maintain security while dispensing information, you and your child will be assigned a password-protected login to PAUSD’s InClass website:
http://k2.pausd.org
The student’s username is his/her Student Identification Number. When a student logs on for the first time, it is advisable that s/he change the temporary password to provide better security. Students will receive additional instructions for various aspects of the system.
As a parent you can access InClass as an Observer. Please take the time to log into InClass and enter your email address. This will help facilitate communication between teachers and parents.
- To log in, go to http://k2.pausd.org/.
- Click on User Login. Your username is the Student ID number followed by _p (Example: 123456_p). Your temporary password is the Student ID number (Example: 123456).
- Once you have logged in, click on Personal Information.
- Click on Edit Personal Information and enter your email address (and other contact information, if you would like).
- Click Submit at the bottom of the page.
- Back at the Personal Information home page click on Change Password to enter a custom password (if you have not done so already).
You are now ready to communicate with you childŐs teachers who use InClass. You can choose the class/teacher from the course list and then click on Staff Information on the left-hand side for contact information. We hope this is a helpful tool in encouraging commu- nication between teachers, student, and parents.
We at JLS appreciate all that you do to support your child at home, and we are very excited to offer another means for staying connected.
